For this round of cask owner casks, we have been lucky enough to get a hold of an extremely rare 500-liter, 100-year-old sherry butt.

We fill 6 liters per share and divide the cask into a total of 80 shares, resulting in min. 8 bottles of 50 cl.

Century old sherry butts are something truly special! We have acquired some rare 100-year-old 500-liter casks from Bodegas La Aurora located in the Montilla-Moriles district of Andalusia. For a century, these casks were used in a Solera aging system - now we use them for whisky.

Amontillado is a type of oxidized sherry that gives a complex and vinous flavor profile to the whisky with aromas of dried and candied fruits, nuts, and forest floor.

100 YEAR OLD SHERRY BUTT

IMPERIAL BARLEY FROM THE NORDIC GEN BANK

Together with skilled breeders, we have revived the barley variety Imperial after 100 years of dormancy in the Nordic gene bank. The variety tastes fantastic and produces a very oily distillate filled with flavorful esters for our whisky.

The 2023 harvest of Imperial has given a fruity and fresh distillate with notes of citrus, crisp pear, dusty grain, and malt sweetness.
