"Bøg-PX" is the new version of our award-winning beech-smoked single malt whisky. Sged in first fill PX sherry casks since 2019-2020.

An intense and sweet whisky bottled near cask strength, where we think the smoke character is most balanced and alluring.

Beechwood smoke in sweet PX sherry casks

The beechwood smoked malt gives a light smouldering smoke, with a soft fruity and malty sweetness underneath. The smoke blends with the deep sweetness of the PX sherry cask and is joined by warm spicy vanilla and a little edge of oak character. On the finish there are notes of coffee and chocolate.

An intense and sweet whisky bottled near cask strength, where we find the smoke character most alluring.

Adding a little water brings out the mild vanilla sweetness, while the smoke diminishes slightly.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC

This whisky is made from 100% organic grain grown on our farm Gyrup. Both the farm and the distillery are certified organic to ensure clean drinking water and good animal welfare.

The sweet PX sherry casks

The casks for the whisky have previously been used for the sweet Spanish PX sherry made from sun-dried grapes. When the PX is of good quality, the casks give off both deep raisin sweetness and fruitiness and hints of chocolate and coffee. Sometimes also a balanced amount of warm vanilla and slight acidity from the oak, depending on the age of the cask.

The soft Danish smoke from beech wood

This whisky is distilled from our beechwood smoked malt. The beechwood smoke is balanced and smouldering, with a soft fruity and malty sweetness underneath.
