Thy Whisky is Danish organic whisky made on the Gyrup family estate in Thy on the west coast of Denmark. We only use grains from our own fields to produce our whisky and spirits - malted, mashed and distilled on the estate.
Our whisky is made from organic grains grown in our own fields. The entire production from farming to bottling is done on our estate.
We use both modern and Danish heritage grain varieties for our organic whiskies as well as traditional Danish beechwood smoking techniques.
Our unique ‘single distillation’ process and a malting system of our own design give our malt whiskies their distinctive quality and flavour.
Our four-year-old beechwood-smoked single malt “Bøg” was named Best European Whisky in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2020 - barely 10 years after filling our first barrel.
