Spelt, rye and new oak casks

The malted rye adds richness, sweetness and spicy pepper to the distillate, while the spelt adds a light touch of berry-fruit, floral and earthy notes. This bottling has been aged in a mix of new American oak and ex-bourbon casks, which add warm spices, vanilla, honey sweetness and balanced tannins from the oak.

The spicy rye

In Denmark we love rye. Especially in bread, we enjoy the spicy and rich taste of rye every day. Yet we don't have a great tradition of making spirits from our rye. We want to help change that.

New oak barrels and a touch of bourbon

Our Spelt Rye is matured in new oak barrels, adding vanilla sweetness and spice from the fresh oak that pairs really well with the warm peppery sweetness from the rye.
